| Q: Genie Searcher displays an error that 'updated search sources can't load'. How can I fix this? A: This error occurs when Genie Searcher can't connect to the Web. There are several things you need to check. First, open up your default browser and see if it will load anything. If it doesn't, your connection is down for whatever reason and you'll have to wait until your connection is back up. If your default browser loads content from the Web but Genie Searcher doesn't, then this is usually due to anti-virus software or a firewall. In either case, you need to configure your anti-virus software or firewall so that Genie Searcher is allowed access to the Web. See the software's Help content for how to do this.
